John Craddock Joins L-3 as President of MPRI
(New York, January 7, 2010) -- L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today the appointment of retired General Bantz J. (John) Craddock, U.S. Army, as president of its MPRI division. MPRI is a global services firm with more than 6,000 personnel working in nearly 60 countries. General Craddock succeeds retired General Carl E. Vuono as MPRI's president. General Vuono will now focus exclusively on his positions as L-3 senior vice president and president and chief operating officer of the L-3 Services Group, the parent organization of MPRI.General Craddock joins L-3 following a 38-year career with the Army. Prior to his retirement from the Army in June 2009, he most recently served as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and Commander in Chief of the U.S. European Command. As SACEUR, General Craddock commanded the military forces of NATO's 28 nations and led history's most successful alliance into new frontiers of relevance and purpose. His distinguished military career spanned leadership at all levels, including as a combat commander in Operation Desert Storm and as Commander of the U.S. Southern Command. A graduate of West Virginia University, General Craddock also received a master's degree in military arts and sciences.
