Fokker Services signs License Agreement with Goodrich Corporation

Manufacturing and supply of main landing gear spare parts

Nieuw-Vennep (the Netherlands), 15th December 2009 --[ASDWire]-- Fokker Services B.V. has signed a Manufacturing License Agreement with Goodrich Corporation's (NYSE: GR) Landing Gear business for the future manufacturing and supply of Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 main landing gear spare parts. Under the terms of this agreement Fokker Services B.V. has the exclusive rights to manufacture all the main landing gear parts for these out-of-production aircraft models.

The parts manufactured under this agreement will be used to overhaul the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 main landing gear as well as to provide spare parts to Fokker operators.

With this agreement Fokker Services is able to secure the future availability of main landing gear parts for its customers to support the worldwide competitive operation of the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 fleet. This is the second Manufacturing License Agreement between Fokker Services and an original equipment manufacturer within a year. It fits within Fokker Services' strategy to ensure the availability of parts for its customers.

Erik Geertsema, Vice President Component and Material Services of Fokker Services: "This licence agreement supports our new life cycle support program for out-of-production aircraft. The program, entitled FLYFokker, covers all the phases in the life cycle of the operation, comprising a package of four solutions: Take Off, Take Care, Take Over and Take Next. Start-up operators can Take Off with their operation in six weeks instead of typically six months. For mature Fokker operators Take Care is a complete solution to increase Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR), reduce Direct Operating Cost (DOC) and improve passenger comfort. Operators moving to other aircraft types are supported by Fokker Services in the Take Over of the continued competitive operation of their Fokker fleet. The fourth solution, Take Next, is a package for the mean-and-lean transfer of aircraft to the next operator."

Mike Secord, Vice President, Aftermarket, Goodrich Landing Gear, said "Goodrich has worked closely with Fokker Services to transition landing gear aftermarket support for these out-of-production aircraft. We are confident that this innovative arrangement will allow Fokker operators to receive outstanding support for their aircraft requirements."
