ST's Aerospace Arm Wins US$90m Airframe Maintenance Contract

(Singapore, December 4, 2009) -- ST Engineering today announced that its aerospace arm, ST Aerospace, has secured a contract to provide airframe maintenance services for a major US airline. Worth about US$90m (about S$125m), the maintenance contract will include C checks and heavy maintenance visits (HMV) for a fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft and Boeing 767 aircraft over three years, with an option to extend for two more years. Including the option, the total contract value is about US$170m (about S$236m). The work will be performed at ST Aerospace's facility in Mobile, Alabama (US) from the first quarter of 2010.
