Micro Nav are working with a selected group of Korean specialist technology companies led by Telematics Co.Ltd. The Micro Nav workshare includes: all the ATC simulation and training software; system customization; specialist user training and support services.
The advanced BEST radar simulator and 3D tower simulator will be installed in the Korean Civil Aviation Training Centre in Cheongwon-Gun, early in 2005. The radar simulator has 5 controller and 5 pseudo-pilot workstations. The tower simulator has 3 controller and 3 pseudo-pilot workstations. The simulators are networked together and integrated with: simulator manager and instructor workstations; a versatile 18 station BEST ATC audio communications system and full recording and replay facilities. Powerful voice recognition and output facilities are incorporated to provide a wide range of teaching options while reducing support staff work loads.
Initial training of key KAC staff has already taken place at the Micro Nav offices in Bournemouth, UK. Further training will be delivered on the completed system in Korea.
Micro Nav's BEST (Beginning to End for Simulation and Training) simulators are being used in ATC training courses that are approved by national civil and military agencies world wide.
