Raytheon Awarded $20 M to Support Upgraded Kuwait Patriot Radar Systems
(Dubai, UAE, November 15, 2009) -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a $20.5 million Foreign Military Sales contract for spares to support planned Patriot Configuration-3 system upgrades for the State of Kuwait.This sole source, not-to-exceed contract from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., calls for essential parts to support the sustainment of Configuration-3 radar systems to ensure continued mission performance. Configuration-3 radar enhancements include improved detection of small targets in a cluttered environment, enhanced capabilities to discriminate and identify tactical ballistic missile warheads, and an expanded area of defense with improved remote launch capabilities.
