OEwaves Contributes to Advanced Missile System Technology RDECOM and LM

Pasadena, CA - November 10, 2009 --[ASDWire]-- OEwaves opto-electronic oscillator (OEO) capability was highlighted in a recent significant event by Army RDECOM: "The Research and Development Engineering Command (RDECOM) Aviation & Missile Research & Engineering Center (AMRDEC) in Huntsville, AL working in collaboration with Lockheed Martin Corporation [NYSE: LMT] is developing advanced technologies for future missile systems.

Through these activities, recent technology demonstrations by OEWaves of an Opto-Electronic Oscillator (OEO) have resulted in a novel, extremely small exciter for a missile seeker system. This exciter development is a revolutionary new architecture of a local oscillator for microwave and millimeter wave systems. Additional testing in reliability and manufacturability will follow to continue to advance the technology readiness for system insertion."
