P&WC Receives Transport Canada Certification for PW535E Engine
- This is a remarkable milestone and comes 26 months after our first run of the PW535E engine
"This is a remarkable milestone and comes 26 months after our first run of the PW535E engine," said John Wyzykowski, Vice President, Mississauga & Turbofan Programs, P&WC. "The Phenom 300 program is progressing quickly towards aircraft certification and we are looking forward to continuing to work with Embraer to ensure first customer deliveries in the near future."
The PW535E turbofan was chosen by Embraer in May 2005 to power the Phenom 300. The engine blends advanced technologies with the proven reliability and durability of the PW535 turbofan engine family that entered service in late 2000. Rated with a maximum takeoff thrust of 3,360 lbs., the PW535E features full-authority digital engine control (FADEC) and injects new advanced proven technologies in the turbine and compressor areas to produce increased thrust with improved fuel consumption.
