ITT Completes CDR Milestone for Swedish Defence Material Administration

(Clifton, N.J., October 27, 2009) -- ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) announced the successful completion of the Critical Design Review (CDR) of the Reliability and Modification (REMO) 870 Modification Kit Upgrade Program for the Swedish Defence Material Administration, FMV. The CDR milestone consisted of a three-day technical review of the detailed system design and conformance to performance requirements. Present at the review were representatives from the Swedish Defence Material Administration, the Swedish Armed forces and representatives of ITT Electronic Systems.

This milestone follows a May 2008 ITT award of $44.9 million to upgrade Sweden's air defense PS-870 coastal/gapfiller radar systems. The ongoing contract will upgrade the air defense radars with state-of-the-art processing, transmitter and display technologies. The radar system can automatically detect and track both surface and airborne targets in difficult clutter environments.
