Frasca Sells 1st Simulators to Russian Flight School

  • Frasca is thrilled to have Saint Petersburg State University as our first customer in Russia
(October 23, 2009) -- Frasca International, Urbana, IL, has received an order for two Cessna C172 FNPT IIs (Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainers) for Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation (SPSUCA), Russia, facilitated through Jet Transfer SARL, the Cessna aircraft representative in Russia. The school has also ordered 12 Cessna 172S Skyhawk aircraft. The two STDs will be the first Frasca devices sold to and installed in Russia. They will feature Frasca's newest technology including TruVision(tm) Global visual system, Graphical Instructor Station (GISt(tm)), Electric Control Loading, Digital Sound and more. They will be outfitted with Jeppesen Navigational Database and Garmin G1000, GFC700 Autopilot, Garmin Audio panel, Garmin Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) and more to simulate the C172 aircraft. They will be qualified as FNPT II STDs (Simulated Training Devices).
