8 October 2009 --[ASDWire]-- TMD Technologies has announced that Wing Commander John 'Ginge' Paige has joined its sales team as ATC sales manager. He will focus on the company's upgrade solutions to aging S-band primary search radar systems.
His distinguished career in the RAF spanned over three decades, and included three years as manager of the RAF's renowned aerobatics team, the Red Arrows. Having trained as an air traffic controller, he fulfilled a number of ATC related roles in the UK and overseas including Germany, Bosnia, Italy and Turkey. His positions included senior air traffic controller at RAF Valley, the Service's fast jet flying training school.
During assignment to NATO he was responsible for the integration of airspace users across Afghanistan. One of his final positions in the RAF was to help develop technical mitigation measures against the detrimental effects of wind farms on ATC primary search radar systems.
"We are extremely pleased to have someone on board with Ginge's depth of experience," said sales director Graham Brown. "His knowledge of the ATC sector will be invaluable in highlighting the advantages of TMD technology in this field."
