Martinair Extends P&W EcoPower Engine Wash Agreement
(East Hartford, Conn., October 7, 2009) -- Martinair has extended its agreement with Pratt & Whitney to continue EcoPower engine wash service. Under the agreement, Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners will provide engine wash services for Martinair's fleet of PW4000 engines. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company."Extending our agreement with Pratt & Whitney for EcoPower engine wash is one of many steps Martinair is taking to reduce its carbon footprint," said Peter van der Horst, vice president of Maintenance and Engineering, Martinair. "To date, we have reduced our CO2 emissions as a direct benefit of EcoPower engine washes."
