Honeywell Wins $257 M to Provide Logistics to Army Field Support Brigade
Contract Doubles Honeywell Logistics Program Size with U.S. Army(Phoenix, October 5, 2009) -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that its Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. (HTSI) business has won a $257 million contract from the Army Sustainment Command to provide logistic services for the armed services fighting in Iraq.
For the next five years, Honeywell will provide logistics planning, supply services, maintenance management, and management of housing, facilities, property and construction activities at 11 locations in Iraq for the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade.
"The award from the Army doubles the program size for Honeywell logistics support," said Vince Trim, President, HTSI. "Our embedded personnel work daily alongside their Army counterparts, working to increase stability and capacity of the brigade through maintaining the safety and reliability of facilities and equipment."
