KVH Receives $2 M in New Military Systems Orders

New orders from U.S. and international customers are for KVH's tactical navigation systems and displays (Middletown, RI., October 2, 2009) -- KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) announced today that it has received a total of $2 million in new orders from multiple U.S. and international military customers for its TACNAV(r) tactical navigation systems and Universal Multilingual Displays (UMDs). Shipments of these orders are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2009 with some extending into 2010. Due to contractual restrictions, additional details regarding the customers and platforms cannot be disclosed at this time. "Our TACNAV systems continue to prove their worth in a wide range of demanding military environments and operational theatres worldwide. The versatility of our military-grade Universal Multilingual Displays also allows us to support an array of applications and operations carried out by U.S. and allied soldiers around the globe," explained Dan Conway, vice president of business development for KVH Industries. KVH's TACNAV military vehicle navigation systems provide unjammable, precision navigation, heading, and pointing data for vehicle drivers, crews, and commanders. TACNAV systems can also serve as a link between each vehicle and the overall digital battlefield, making each unit a node in a secure military network that consolidates a wide range of tactical data to provide detailed information to individual units and military commanders.
