The contract awarded by the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base is valued $3.3 million, for work that will continue for approximately six months. The contract is the third to be awarded to Chromalloy for the nozzle repairs on the F108 engine.

"Chromalloy welcomes this opportunity to again bring our extensive investments in commercial turbine engine repair to provide the Air Force with superior capability and reliability - and support mission readiness to the Air Force," said Armand F. Lauzon, Jr. President.

The KC135R fleet includes more than 400 aircraft deployed by the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base. The aircraft provides refueling for military aircraft in flight.

In addition to F108 turbine repairs and components, Chromalloy also provides replacement blades, vanes and nozzles for the CFM56-2 aircraft engine, the commercial variant of the F108 military engine.
