ITT Names New Managing Director for Defence Limited

(Fort Wayne, Ind., September 9, 2009) -- ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) has named John Wall as managing director for ITT Defence Limited at Basingstoke, United Kingdom.

ITT Defence Limited, based in Basingstoke, United Kingdom, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the ITT Corporation USA. ITT Defence Limited was formed in 1993 as a systems integration company with particular interest in tactical communications and has manufactured and delivered all the VHF and UHF radios for the United Kingdom's BOWMAN Program.


Wall most recently served as director for Western Europe at Defence Limited where he sat on the company's board of directors. Prior to that role, Wall served as the Project Director Bowman leading the VHF/UHF radio development and main production program. He has more than 30 years experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Previous to joining ITT, Wall served in key leadership positions with General Electric Company (GEC), BAE Systems and GEC-Marconi.

Wall is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
