DRS Highlights Battlespace And Security & Resilience Products
(Parsippany, N.J., September 4, 2009) -- DRS Technologies, Inc. will highlight a number of its innovative products during Defence Systems and Equipment International (DSEi) in London, England.The products have a focus on Battlespace and Security & Resilience, such as DRS' rugged and ultra rugged computer systems, tactical workstations, as well as a full array of thermal and infrared-imaging units. Recently, DRS Technologies ranked number one in core infrared-imaging technology by leading industry analyst Maxtech International, Inc. as the leading supplier of uncooled infrared focal plane arrays (FPAs)
Also showcased will be DRS' Driver's Vision Enhancer (DVE) incorporated into a vehicle "mock-up" to display its functionality. DRS Technologies is the sole supplier for the largest U.S. Army DVE program of record and is the U.K. MoD's choice for driver's vision enhancement. With over 40,000 systems delivered world-wide, the DVE greatly improves the situational awareness of drivers and crews. DVE displays thermal contrast among objects and can deliver accurate, actionable visibility through dust, smoke, fog, or darkness. DVE-equipped troops can detect people, vehicles, road hazards and suspicious activity.
