Herley Awarded a $16.6 M IDIQ Contract

(Lancaster, Pa., August 17, 2009) -- Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) announced today that through a subsidiary, it has been awarded a $16.6 million firm-fixed-price, time and material, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for Radio Frequency (RF) Modules. As required, repair services and engineering and technical support services will also be performed. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Richard F. Poirier, CEO and President, commented, "The RF Modules under this multi-year IDIQ contract are very complex integrated microwave assemblies used in airborne threat simulators. This five-year IDIQ contract is a follow-on award to a previous IDIQ contract for the same modules.
