ITT Awarded JTRS Software Support Contract
(Fort Wayne, Ind., July 9, 2009) -- ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) announced today that it has been awarded a $22.9 million contract for Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems (SINCGARS) Software In-Service Support (SwISS) by the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Joint Program Executive Office. The work will include technical support, enhancements, maintenance and upgrades to the JTRS SINCGARS waveform. The total program value could reach $62 million if all options are exercised. ITT has partnered with Thales, of Clarksburg, Md., to perform the work.The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract includes a two-year base period, with three one-year options. Under the terms of the award, work will be completed by ITT's Communications Systems business. ITT will begin performing work on the first delivery order in June with an expected completion date in late 2010.
