Rolls-Royce Wins $190m Share of Etihad Order
(June 16, 2009) -- Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has won a $190m share in an order from Etihad for V2500 engines to power a total of 20 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The contract includes a long-term service agreement.The V2500 is produced by the International Aero Engines consortium (IAE) in which Rolls-Royce is a senior shareholder. IAE's other partners are Pratt & Whitney, the Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.
