Cubic Joins With USAF to Launch International Users Group for ICADS

(San Diego, CA., May 5, 2009) -- Cubic Defense Applications, Inc., the defense systems business unit of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), reported that it has licensed more than 600 copies of its advanced Individual Combat Aircrew Display System (ICADS(tm)) debriefing software to U.S. and foreign users. Cubic has joined with the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command and the Air Force Materiel Command to sponsor an international users group for ICADS(tm).

Military pilots across the globe use ICADS(tm) to learn how they performed during air combat training missions. The ICADS(tm) software features colorful 3D graphics, a user-friendly control panel, a presentation of the Combined Operating Environment, and many other features. So far, San Diego-based Cubic has licensed the software to users in the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and Thailand, making ICADS(tm) the most widely used Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) debriefing tool in the world. The number of ICADS(tm) users will grow when Poland receives the ICADS(tm) system later this year as part of the new P5 Combat Training System that Cubic is delivering to Poznan-Kresiny and Lask air bases. Cubic is also negotiating other foreign military sales of the P5/ICADS(tm) system, already operational at many air bases throughout the United States.

A typical ICADS(tm) training class lasts two days, but most users can start using the application in an hour. It is very intuitive and the basic features can be mastered easily. The ICADS(tm) software is designed to operate in a Windows environment.

The ICADS(tm) User's Group allows users to provide feedback and recommend new features. Direct customer feedback allows Cubic to make valuable future enhancements to the system. The users group holds one virtual and one live meeting annually and also facilitates information exchange among users. The international group held its first meeting earlier this year in Las Vegas.
