AIDEWS Successfully Completes Developmental Verification Test
(Clifton, N.J., March 30, 2009) -- ITT announced today that its Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare System (AIDEWS) [ALQ-211(V)4] has successfully completed its detailed 11-week Design Verification Test (DVT) with the U.S. Air Force. This accomplishment will allow AIDEWS to enter the planned Electronic Warfare flight test program. The DVT, which consisted of over 15,000 test points, was witnessed by engineers from the 542nd Electronic Warfare Sustainment Group, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. and the 68th EWS, Eglin AFB, Fla."This successful critical milestone test demonstrates the persistence and dedication of the ITT AIDEWS team and the Robins and Eglin Air Force Base engineers," said ITT Electronic Systems President Chris Bernhardt. "As a result, our international partners can be confident that AIDEWS systems will effectively protect their F-16s and pilots against today's modern threats."
