Raytheon Awarded $11 M Option for Patriot Missile Facilities

(Tewksbury, Mass., March 5, 2009) -- Raytheon Company has been awarded $11.4 million to support Patriot missile facilities during 2009.

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., issued the additional funding as an option under a three-year contract previously awarded to Raytheon in January 2008. This add-on award brings the value of the contract to $35.5 million with potential for additional options through 2010.

"Providing technical personnel and material to support the operation of Patriot missile facilities is a key part of Raytheon's responsibility and commitment to ensure that missiles deployed by United States and our international partners are maintained in a high state of readiness," said Joseph "Skip" Garrett, vice president and deputy for Patriot Programs at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS).
