Cubic Eligible to Bid on Large US Army Omnibus Contract

(Orlando, FL., February 17, 2009) -- Cubic Simulation Systems, Inc, a subsidiary of San Diego-based Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), has been notified of an award from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation's Omnibus Contract II (STOC II) contract. STOC II is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a $17.5 billion cap. The contract term is up to 10 years. This award makes Cubic eligible to compete against other award winners for a variety of delivery and task orders over the life of the contract.

This STOC II award continues Cubic's successful performance on the initial STOC contract. Under STOC, Cubic was awarded more than $245 million in task orders. The task orders were for live, virtual and constructive training systems and systems integration services, including Cubic's MILES Individual Weapon System (IWS), Initial Homestation Instrumentation Training System (I-HITS), and EST 2000 Engagement Skills Trainer.

STOC II will be managed by Cubic Simulation Systems in Orlando. Terry Kohl, Vice President and General Manager of the division, said: "Cubic is very pleased to be awarded this STOC II contract. It will enable all Cubic divisions to continue to provide our customers with quality products and services for Army training."
