Honeywell Plans to Deliver Flight Safety Systems for Indian AF C-130J Program
(Yelahanka, India, February 10, 2009) -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that it plans to produce the military version of its Traffic Collision Alerting System and other key safety and mechanical systems for the Indian Air Force C-130J program."Honeywell expects to deliver the key aircraft systems that enhance flight safety - including our Military Aircraft Collision Avoidance System," said Vicki Panhuise, Honeywell Vice President, Military Aircraft. "The Indian Air Force C-130J will also operate with other Honeywell avionics, mechanical and lighting systems and components.
"Honeywell offers a complete product portfolio of aircraft systems that help to ensure mission readiness and aircraft safety," Panhuise said. "Other Honeywell equipment on the aircraft includes the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, Flight Management System, Digital Autopilot, Control Display, Embedded Global Positioning and Inertial Navigation System and Radar Altimeter," Panhuise said. "In addition to these industry leading safety technologies, we expect the aircraft to operate with Honeywell's mechanical systems including the Environmental Control System, Auxiliary Power Unit, Nacelle Power Unit, Cabin Pressure System, values, fuel controls, and oil pumps. We expect Honeywell's interior and external lighting also be on board these aircraft."
