GD Awarded Enterprise IT Contract by US Marine Corps
(Fairfax, Va., January 29, 2009) -- General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) to support the Marine Corps Enterprise IT Services (MCEITS) program. The single award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is valued at $95 million over a five year period if all options are exercised. No initial award has been announced.Through the contract, General Dynamics will design, build and integrate the first MCEITS Enterprise IT Center, which provides application hosting capabilities, enterprise shared services, access to enterprise-wide information, collaboration and information sharing across business and warfighter domains.
