Rockwell Collins Delivers TacNet Data Link for Joint Standoff Weapon

(Cedar Rapids, Iowa, December 16, 2008) -- Rockwell Collins has delivered the first TacNet data link as part of the U.S. Navy's Strike Common Weapon Data Link Program. Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) recently approved final testing and accepted delivery of TacNet for integration into their weapon systems.

Raytheon selected Rockwell Collins in October 2006 to develop a small form factor data link for the Joint Standoff Weapon. The contract is valued at $18 million.

"Meeting this milestone reinforces the trusted relationship we've developed with Raytheon," said Ron Hornish, vice president and general manager of Precision Strike Solutions for Rockwell Collins. "TacNet is a cost-effective, low-risk, integrated data link that will transform weapon effectiveness by providing moving target updates and target reassignment capabilities."
