Company to Provide Earned Value Management Services to Help Measure Project Performance

(San Diego and McLean, Va., November 20, 2008) -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has signed a blanket purchase agreement with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide integrated project management services in support of aircraft, munitions, and unmanned aerial vehicles related support programs. The agreement has a five year period of performance and a total ceiling value of more than $24 million. Work will be performed by SAIC's wholly-owned subsidiary Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (EMA) in Patuxent River, Md., and other locations as required.

NAVAIR provides engineering, development, testing, evaluation, in-service support, and program management capabilities to deliver airborne weapons systems that are technologically superior and readily available. Under this contract, SAIC will perform analysis, evaluation and case studies in support of NAVAIR programs. The services SAIC delivers will help NAVAIR measure and control project schedules and budgets.

"We look forward to helping NAVAIR employ earned value management techniques across their enterprise, helping support their important mission of providing the Navy and Marine Corps with the world's best naval aviation capabilities," said Debbie James, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
