DRS Provides Fully Integrated Power System to USS Freedom
(Parsippany, N.J., November 18, 2008) -- DRS Technologies, Inc., A Finmeccanica Company, announced today the launch of its new Recorded Data Access (RDA) product line for wideband recording applications. The new RDA products optimize recording, processing and storage solutions for SIGINT signal library, training and system validation applications. The new products were designed and developed at DRS' Columbia, Maryland facility.The open architecture platform of the new RDA products enable users to integrate DRS' Eagle SIGINT recorder data with a wide range of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and hardware components. The RDA line is built on commodity server technology which provides a cost advantages and significantly reduces internal development requirements. Applications can include open architecture wideband recording, training and system validation solutions.

The RDA product line is ideal for signal library, system validation and training applications. It also provides rapid and easy transfer of user-selected data with DRS' Eagle recorder and other SIGINT recording products. Its wideband data recorder functionality provides the capability to simultaneously record and playback.
