Rolls-Royce Awarded $90 M MISSIONCARE Contract for T-45 Trainer

(October 3, 2008) -- Rolls-Royce today announced it has been awarded a one-year $90 million MissionCare(tm) contract by the U.S. Navy to provide support for the F405 (Adour) engines that power the U.S. Navy's T-45 training aircraft. MissionCare solutions, along with other aftermarket services provided to global customers by Rolls-Royce, account for more than 50 percent of the company's annual sales.

The contract is for one year with options for four additional years, and builds upon a successful five-year contract established in 2003. MissionCare is utilized within the Rolls-Royce Defense sector to apply commercial Power By The Hour(r) principles tailored to the unique requirements of the Defense business.
