L-3 to Support NASA Astronaut Training

(New York, June 10, 2008) -- L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced that it was awarded a five-year, $49 million cost plus fixed fee contract by NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC) to provide space systems domain expertise to enhance space training for NASA engineers and astronauts. Under this new contract, known as Simulation and Software Technology (SST), Reston, Va.-based L-3 Enterprise IT Solutions (L-3 EITS) will provide space systems domain expertise in robotics; dynamics; guidance, navigation, and control; avionics; electrical power systems; and ground systems technologies.
