DRS Awarded $55 M to Manufacture TQG for US Army
(Parsippany, N.J., May 12, 2008) -- DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: DRS) announced today that it received three contract awards worth approximately $55 million from the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey to manufacture more than 2,300 Tactical Quiet Generators (TQG).The first delivery order is worth $37 million, the second delivery award is worth more than $10 million, and the third delivery order is valued at approximately $8 million. The orders include 5-, 10- and 15-kilowatt TQGs, which will be manufactured and delivered between April 2008 and April 2009.

The delivery orders are part of a $369 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with CECOM, placed immediately prior to the initial delivery award.
CECOM placed the order on behalf of various Army, Navy and Air Force units through the Army's Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications Tactical, and its subordinate office of Project Manager for Mobile Electric Power at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
