Herley Announces $1.6 M in US Contract Awards

- Herley Lancaster Will Provide Hardware for Electronic Attack Aircraft

(Lancaster, Pa., April 14, 2008) -- Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) today announced contract awards totaling approximately $1.6 million from major U.S. defense prime contractors.

Herley's LancasterPennsylvania division has received a new award to produce electronic hardware for a U.S. Electronic Attack Aircraft that has been produced at Herley Lancaster for a number of years.

Micro Systems, Inc. in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, has received a contract to supply tracking transponders for a large missile program. The contract includes over 100 units of a C-Band tracking beacon and represents the exercise of a contract option on a long term program.

Myron Levy, Herley Chairman and CEO, commented, "We are pleased to continue our participation on these major defense programs. We anticipate future growth and increasing production on both programs."
