L-3 Receives Award from U.S. Army to Supply Advanced Fuzing
(New York, October 8, 2007) -- L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that the U.S. Army has exercised a contract option for over 48,000 M762A1 Electronic Time Artillery Fuzes.The M762A1 is an inductively settable, electronic fuze utilized by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps on artillery projectiles. L-3 has been in continuous production of this fuze since 2002.

Mr. Homko also noted the strong and growing interest by some U.S. allies in acquiring this fuze. "It is a reliable, low-cost alternative to upgrading aging mechanically timed fuze inventories."
