Herley New England Receives Additional $2.0 M Contract Award from Lockheed Martin for the Multi-Mission Helicopter
(Lancaster, Pa., October 4, 2007) -- Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) announced today that its Herley New England division in Woburn, Mass., has received contracts totaling approximately $2 million from Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego to manufacture complex Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMA) for the avionics systems for the MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopter (MMH).The MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopter (MMH) is the U.S. Navy's new primary maritime-dominance helicopter, replacing the SH-60B and SH-60F aircraft. The MH-60R is designed primarily for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare. Secondary missions include search and rescue, vertical replenishment, naval surface fire support, logistics support, personnel transport, medical evacuation and communications and data relay.

Lockheed Martin, the prime air weapons systems integrator for the MH-60R, recently announced a multi-year contract under which it will integrate advanced electronic systems into 139 multi-mission helicopters through 2013.
