Cubic Receives $25 M Order From Middle Eastern Nation to Supply Transportable Combat Training Center Capability

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 30, 2007 -- Cubic Defense Applications, the defense segment of Cubic Corporation (AMEX: CUB), has received a contract worth more than $25 million to supply its transportable live training capability to a Middle Eastern customer.

"This represents the first direct commercial sale of our transportable Combat Training Center capability to U.S. allies in the Gulf region," said John Naff, Cubic's vice president of Business Development for the Middle East. "Cubic will be delivering a scalable system that offers the potential of transforming into a national training center, when the requirement emerges."

Within two years, Cubic will deliver a version of its U.S. Army Initial - Homestation Instrumentation Training System (I-HITS), a self-contained training package that can be configured for mobile, deployable or fixed applications. The flexible, user-friendly system can be used to train ground units from squad through brigade on any mission, from force-on-force or urban training, to joint or combined arms exercises. It offers a mobile exercise control facility and multimedia debriefing theater, communications relays, and three-dimensional multimedia display systems for tracking players as they train, or analyzing their performance during after-action reviews.
