SWISS named 'Best Airline for Europe'

SWISS has been named "Best Airline for Europe" in this year's coveted Business Traveller Awards. The overall top spot was the result of the airline's excellent rankings in various specific areas: the readers of Germany's Business Traveller magazine placed Switzerland's quality carrier first in the "Cabin Crew", "Ground Services", "Cabin Comfort" and "Inflight Food & Drink" categories. SWISS also earned third place overall in the "Best Airline to the Middle East and Africa" category. Zurich Airport, which is SWISS's hub, was also in the honours, being named "Best Major European Airport and Hub". So both SWISS and Zurich Airport are clearly well liked and acknowledged by business travellers. "We are delighted to receive this award," says Ignazio Strano, SWISS Director and Head of Sales Europe North. "SWISS is a byword for reliability, quality in every detail, typical Swiss hospitality and personal care. But we don't just define ourselves by these values; we apply them and exemplify every single day. And the top marks we have received in these various categories show us that our investments in our product are appreciated by our customers." Strano collected the award in Frankfurt on SWISS's behalf, together with Jochen Leibfritz, Country Sales Manager Germany and Martin Knuchel, Senior Manager Cabin Crew Operations. The readers of Germany's reputed Business Traveller magazine have been voting annually on their favourite airlines, airports, hotel chains, hotels and car rental companies since 1993. SWISS's "Best Airline for Europe" award was based on the following individual category results: "Cabin Crew" -> 1st "Ground Services" -> 1st "Cabin Comfort" -> 1st "Inflight Food & Drink" -> 1st
