VERSAR Awarded $1.5 Million Afghanistan Contract by the Air Force

(SPRINGFIELD, Va.) -- VERSAR, Inc. (Amex:VSR) announced today that it was awarded a $1.5 million Task Order to provide initial Quality Assurance and Construction Management services in Afghanistan in support of the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence reconstruction mission. This Task Order will fund initial operations through September 30, 2007 and include construction management, engineering support, and construction oversight of numerous reconstruction projects, including construction and renovation of a portion of the Kabul Airport, a major maintenance facility and the National Military Academy.
