Dr. Lutz Bertling appointed as new Eurocopter CEO

With immediate effect, Dr. Lutz Bertling (44) has been appointed as President and CEO of Eurocopter by the EADS Board of Directors. He succeeds Fabrice Bregier (45) who has been appointed as COO of Airbus. Dr. Lutz Bertling joined Eurocopter in September 2003 as Executive Vice President Governmental Helicopters. As of April 2006, he additionally held the position of CEO of Eurocopter Deutschland GmbH. He brings vast experience in international programs and industrial cooperation projects to Eurocopter and will ensure continuity in the company's successful growth strategy, reinforcing its worldwide technological and market leadership. Eurocopter thanks Fabrice Bregier for his innovative leadership which consolidated the company's top position in the world market while increasing its international industrial footprint, notably in Spain, Australia, USA (LUH) as well as launching the EC175 (with China) and KHP (with Korea) programs
